About

DVD Survivors takes the old screensaver joke and turns it into a real arcade survival game. You are the bouncing DVD logo, tearing through enemy swarms, collecting Bytes, leveling up, and trying to keep the run alive to the end. Your movement is automatic — you bounce off walls, exploit corners for bonus damage, and sprint or dash with stamina when things get tight.

The whole game is built around desktop and internet garbage. Pop-ups, error windows, cookie banners, crypto miners, Clippo, and bosses pile onto the screen while you keep moving and shape the build as the pressure rises. It blends nostalgia with modern internet annoyances — defeating corrupted files, ad pop-ups, and broken software while channeling arcade classics like Robotron and Gauntlet.

Runs are short at around 8 minutes, but the build layer goes deep. 64 weapons, 64 evolution combinations, 24+ synergies from passive pairings, and 156 enemies give each run a different route through the chaos. Run rules like Fast Forward, Disc Rot, and Commentary Track change how each attempt plays, while TV channel events shake things up mid-run.

Progression carries between runs. Meta upgrades, active items, unlockable chapters, and 101 achievements with hidden challenges keep opening up the deeper you go. 8 chapters with 20+ difficulty levels mean there's always another wall to push through.
